Professional event security for corporate events, galas, concerts, weddings, conferences, and high-profile appearances. Planned around a formal threat risk assessment, delivered by experienced personnel, and managed through a single point of accountability from advance work to final load-out.
Most event security is posture, not protection. A few uniformed guards standing in visible positions, no advance work, no plan, no integration with venue operations. That model satisfies optics. It does not reduce risk.
Head of Security delivers event security the way it is actually done by the agencies that protect high-value principals and high-profile events. Every engagement begins with a formal event threat risk assessment. From there we build the plan, deploy the right mix of personnel, coordinate with venue and law enforcement, and manage the event from advance through egress.
Event security is not one job. A private wedding, a corporate shareholder meeting, a public concert, and a high-profile speaker appearance each have different risk profiles, different stakeholders, and different operational requirements. We tailor to each.
Every event security engagement combines several services. The right mix depends on the event, the venue, the guests, and the risk profile.
Good event security is built long before the doors open. Our process moves through four distinct phases, each with its own focus and deliverables.
Head of Security operates events from our three locations and deploys nationally for client engagements. The densest coverage is in Chicago, Chicagoland, and the Geneva Lake corridor, but we regularly support events across the Midwest and beyond.
Our Chicago headquarters supports events across the city, from downtown hotels and event venues to the North Shore and South Side. Our Schaumburg location anchors the northwest suburban event market, including the large corporate and hospitality venues along the I-90 corridor. Our Wisconsin location supports the Geneva Lake shoreline, Lake Geneva resort venues, and private estate events across Walworth County.
Most event security vendors deploy bodies. We deploy a plan, backed by bodies. The difference shows up in risk identified early, incidents prevented, and events that run without visible drama.
We never quote a headcount before understanding the event. Risk drives staffing, not the other way around.
Every event has a designated commander, a defined chain of command, and an operations plan. Not a group of guards standing in a building.
Executive protection, K9, drone, social monitoring, and uniformed personnel all work together under one plan. No vendor coordination gaps.
We know how to blend with a black-tie gala or a private wedding. High-coverage, low-visibility operation is a deliberate capability.
The earlier the better. For a formal event risk assessment, venue advance, and proper planning, we recommend engaging at least four to eight weeks before the event. For larger or higher-risk events we prefer two to three months. That said, we regularly support short-notice engagements and can mobilize within 48 to 72 hours when needed. The trade-off is less advance work, not lower operational quality.
There is no universal formula. Staffing depends on the event type, venue size and layout, guest count, the profile of attendees, whether high-value principals will be present, and the threat environment. Our event threat risk assessment produces a specific staffing recommendation for your event. Anyone quoting personnel counts without understanding the event is guessing.
Yes. We provide both armed and unarmed personnel. Armed positions include licensed armed security officers and sworn off-duty police officers where the engagement calls for armed, authority-bearing presence. For most private events we recommend a mix: armed presence at specific positions, with plainclothes and uniformed unarmed security for general coverage.
Yes. Coordination is standard practice. During advance work we meet with venue security leadership, review their procedures, identify the handoff points between our team and theirs, and coordinate with local law enforcement where appropriate. For high-profile events we also liaise with local police on traffic, public presence, and emergency response protocols.
Yes. Our Wisconsin location specifically supports events across the Lake Geneva area, Geneva Lake shoreline, Delavan Lake, and Walworth County. This includes private estate events, destination weddings, corporate retreats, and high-net-worth private functions. The shoreline is one of our core coverage areas.
Our operations plan includes incident response procedures for medical emergencies, disruptive guests, unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, protests, and more serious security events. Response is coordinated through the event commander on the radio net, with pre-established escalation to venue operations, client point of contact, and law enforcement as needed. After the event we provide a written incident report and an after-action review.
Contact us with the event details: date, venue, guest count, profile, and any known concerns. We will set up an intake consultation, scope the event risk assessment, and produce a tailored security plan with pricing. Every engagement begins with a consultation, not a quote.
